COLORADO FINALISTS

Patricia Upton

Here is what a couple of her peers said:

"Cause she's a badass in all areas of life. Simple as that. She cares immensely for her family and friends. She's puts in the work at home in the garage and on the track. She's fun to watch drive and great person to hang out with. She comes prepared. She practices, learns, and improves on her skillset with each track day. She stays positive even when times get tough, which is inevitable in drifting.."

"She always is down to help ladies learn without making anyone feel excluded. I have never felt so at home talking with her and getting tips while I’m learning. Shes one of our best female drivers here I think. Shes always getting out there doing comps and never letting the boys shake her. Ive watched her experience set backs & come back harder and better. She is the representation I want of us ladies. Shes deserves every bit of it. My hope is that she wins. NOBODY deserves it more."

Courtney Vertz

Here is what a couple of her peers said:

"Courtney is one of the reasons I got into drifting ! I used to see all the guys doing it all the time but it wasn’t til I saw her drive for the first time at IMI and was so geeked she was a girl!! This was back in 2020 ! So to see how far she’s come is amazing and she’s the reason I’m on track today :)"

" Courtney goes above and beyond for the drifting community. She has been relentless in securing track time for women near the state of Colorado for years. She encourages women to get out and drive by removing boundaries that stand in the way. She makes people comfortable, doing the uncomfortable. She has scheduled not one ladies day per year, but multiple to increase the participation levels in Colorado. She has gotten people to fly in to help coach and mentor. Also, she is just a solid driver."

"She is a very helpful person on and off the track. She built and maintains her own drifter. She has improved so much in the last year. It's actually amazing. She also co-runs Girls Gone Drifting an all girls drift organization. She is a great cheerleader for all the drivers and is a blast to be around."

"Miranda is a drift queen with seven years of tire-shredding dominance. She’s crushed comps, taken home wins, and commands her Nissan 240SX like it’s an extension of her soul. As co-founder of Girls Gone Drifting, she’s not just racing. She’s leading a movement, bringing women to the front of the pack and leading future generations including her biggest fan, her daughter, watching her mom drift with fire, grit, and grace. Miranda’s not just building momentum on the track, she’s building a legacy."

Chellee Hansen - ID

Here is what a couple of her peers said:

"I nominate Chellee Hansen for Slush Motorsports Woman Driver of the Year. Her recent ProSpec license proves her driving skill. More impressively, she balances this with being a wife, mother, business owner, Team Hansen's Manager, Rudy Hansen's spotter, and merchandise/livery designer. Chellee’s dedication is unmatched. She embodies the spirit of motorsports, excelling on and off the track. Her commitment and multifaceted contributions make her a truly deserving candidate."

"A woman that can drive the way she does is impressive. She's always friendly to everyone around her and the fans that come to meet her. She's an excellent example for the younger generations!"

Kendal Klein - CA

Here is what a couple of her peers said:

"Not only is Kendal a bad ass driver, She motivates, helps and welcomes female drivers in the california drifting community by throwing and hosting events called Sparkle Motion. For someone new to drifting it can be very intimidating and not many females feel comfortable around the boys. She had an aggressive driving style which is very admirable."

"Kendal is a dedicated force in the world of motorsports. As the sole organizer of SparkleMotion, a women’s drift event, she has created a safe and empowering space for women to drive—whether they’re seasoned enthusiasts or taking the wheel for the first time. Passionate about uplifting others, Kendal inspires women to step into the driver’s seat with confidence. Her kindness, inclusivity, and unwavering support for women in motorsports make her a true advocate for the community."
